Summer Reminiscence

I should definitely change my theme. This one is really happy and bright and yellow! But I feel like the beginning of a new school year should bring in a new theme.

Blogs to me are like journals. I write in one for a few days, and then I forget about them. I like starting over in new blogs, just like I tend to buy new journals even though my old ones have barely been written in.

I feel fresh at the moment, a comparable change compared to last night, when I felt rather down at the fact that summer is ending, and the school year is beginning too fast for my taste. Why must good things speed past us and agonizing things crawl by us? That made no sense whatsoever, but it sounded pretty poetic, so I’m keeping that line.

I have a Tumblr. I have a Livejournal (or I think I do). I have a Freewebs (Well, it’s not called Freewebs anymore, but I forgot what it’s called now). I have private blogs (not uploaded to any website). Since I already have these mediums through which I can express my thoughts and desires through words, I decided that from today on, I’m going to use this journal as a photo/drawing gallery. I’m going to try to draw something everyday and post it on here

New School Year

Wow, it’s been almost a year since I’ve posted haha. I’ve almost forgotten about this blog!

This past summer has been full of work, and a little fun Most of it was spent on summer school, where I learned Chemistry, and Orchesis practice, 3 days a week, where we learned our routine for Homecoming.

My sister Tina came home in the beginning of summer, but we couldn’t do too much together because she was studying for her OAT (test for optometry school) She also came back for 2 weeks at the end of August, but we only saw her for 1 because the first week she came home, we were on vacation ON A CRUISE TO ALASKA! Alaska was surprisingly hot and sunny, the only sunny week actually, according to the captain. We met people from all around the world, and there was a lot of fun food! There were shows, movies, a library, game table, and my family saw the huge glacier. Only it wasn’t really huge. I disappoint D:

I am pretty excited to get back to school. I’m going to be a sophomore! Woot! My (not final) schedule goes like this:

1) Choreography

2) Trig/ Pre Cal

3) World History

4) Mandarin

5) English Honors

6) PE DROPPED

I’m sorta, not really satisfied with my schedule, because I REALLY want Trig Honors, and WHAP, and I dropped PE, so I only have 5 periods. I talked to my counselor about it, and HOPEFULLY I get the classes I want first day of school. If not, I’ll go see my counselor.. again x.x What I DO LIKE is that I have lots of classes with my friends! And I have English Honors this year! I’m looking forward to this year, we’ll see what happens tomorrow x.x

Performance!

Hello there! Yesterday, Orchesis performed at the Junior Varsity basketball game in the big gym at school. It was surprisingly quick, yet very fun. I did put on makeup, which I’m proud of, but it had to be redone because I put way too little on. The lights at the gym tend to wash people’s faces out, so if heavy makeup isn’t worn, your face would look… blank. My mom attempted to put on fake lashes for me, but that was an epic fail. Araceli kindly helped me put on makeup and put on fake lashes. The actual performance was pretty good, in my opinion. I was really nervous before going on, but right when I stepped into the gym, my nervousness disappeared. I made no mistakes, except I was a bit off on one of the formations. It was a success though. Now I am looking forward to Tina’s coming home in 2 weeks for winter break!

An Unusual Day

Today was interesting. It was certainly different from most days anyway. First off, we had our second period outdoors. Mr. Chau wanted us to “get some Vitamin D” and appreciate the “change in scenery”. So we moved all of our desks out to the field and worked on our biology work there. It really was a different experience for me. Then the disaster bell struck in third period, and everyone went to the track. To kill time while the teachers were inspecting the school for “dead bodies”, I played cards with friends and did a bit of my homework. In English class, we had a practice benchmark, and I gave my friend Evonnie 3 dollars to buy a bread with a happy face on it. The bread (not real) that Evonnie had looked very cute and smelled very cute as well. After school ended, I rode the bus with Gabriel, Michael Man, Albert, and Abraham. It was a very fun day! It’s not over yet though. I still have hip hop class to go to.

Hello everyone! My name is Rose. This is my first time starting a wordpress. One reason I chose this website over others is that the name “wordpress” sounds very cool. It sounds so professional!
